If a roleplay doesn’t load in Exec, the most common cause is a microphone permissions issue. The system needs access to your microphone to start a roleplay.
The best browser for AI Roleplays is Google Chrome.

1. Check Microphone Permissions

  • The first time you launch a roleplay, your browser should display a pop-up asking for microphone access.
  • Click Allow when prompted. (screenshot: Chrome permission popup with “Allow” highlighted)
  • If you clicked Block by mistake, you’ll need to manually re-enable microphone access.
    Enabling Microphone Access in Chrome
    1. In Chrome, click the lock icon in the address bar while on the Exec site.
    2. Go to Site settings.
    3. Find Microphone and set it to Allow.
    4. Refresh the page and restart the roleplay.

2. Try a Different Browser

If microphone permissions are set correctly but the roleplay still doesn’t load, try opening Exec in Edge, Safari, or Firefox to see if the roleplay runs properly there.
