Exec offers a growing library of roleplay scenarios - from global collections available to everyone, to workspace-specific and personal scenarios. To get the most out of Exec, you’ll need to know how to quickly find the roleplay that’s right for you.

Ways to Find Roleplays

There are two main ways to locate a roleplay:

Search

  1. Type in keywords to pull up the exact scenario you’re looking for

Filter

  1. Narrow down the library based on collections, practice status, ownership, tags, or visibility

Using Filters

Filters allow you to refine the scenario list so you don’t have to scroll through everything. You can filter by:
See only the scenarios grouped in a specific collection (e.g., Interview Practice)
Filter by scenarios you’ve:
  • Practiced
  • Never practiced
Find scenarios by skill, topic, or theme (e.g., coaching, difficult conversations)
Choose whether to see:
  • Your personal scenarios (private to you)
  • Workspace scenarios (available to everyone in your organization)
  • Global scenarios (provided to all Exec users)
Filter based on whether the scenario is owned by you or created by someone else

Searching for a Roleplay

Go to the Scenarios tab and use the search bar to type in a keyword or part of the scenario name.

As you type, the list will automatically narrow to show matching scenarios. This is the fastest way to find something specific when you already know its name or topic.

Browsing Roleplays

Sometimes you may not know exactly what you’re looking for. In that case, you can:
  • Scroll through collections to see what’s grouped together.
  • Explore tags to discover scenarios related to a particular skill area.
  • Skim by visibility to get a sense of what’s available to you personally, in your workspace, or globally.
Many learners use a mix of browsing and filtering - scroll a little to get inspired, then narrow down with filters once you know what you want.
Best Practices:
  • Start broad, then narrow. Browse collections if you’re not sure what you need; use filters when you have a clear goal.
  • Use tags strategically. Tags are great for surfacing skill-based scenarios (like negotiation or feedback conversations).
  • Check your practice history. Filtering by “practiced” vs. “never practiced” helps balance reinforcement with new challenges.
  • Explore global scenarios. These are professionally designed and can serve as great foundations before you move into customized workspace or personal scenarios

In short: To find a roleplay in Exec, combine search and filters to quickly zero in on the scenario you need - whether it’s one you’ve practiced before, something new in your workspace, or a global scenario for inspiration
