# Restore a Deleted Scenario

> Deleting a scenario archives it rather than erasing it, so you can find it again and bring it back

Deleting a scenario archives it rather than erasing it. Nothing is lost, and you can bring it back at any time.

<Note>
  This works no matter how long ago the scenario was deleted. If your team deleted scenarios months ago assuming they were gone, they are still recoverable.

## What deleting a scenario does

* It leaves the default **Scenarios** list and stops appearing in search results
* Nobody can start a new session on it
* All past sessions, scores, and feedback stay intact, and learners keep their history
* It is removed from the components of any active program that used it

## Find a deleted scenario

    Open **Scenarios** in your workspace.

  <Step title="Filter by Status">
    Open the **Status** filter and choose **Archived**.

The list shows every deleted scenario you have access to, each labeled with who deleted it. See [Filter to Find a Roleplay](/roleplays/filter) for the full set of filters.

You can also open a deleted scenario directly by its link. The page loads behind an archived overlay, so you can review the scenario even though starting a session is blocked.

<Note>
  The **Status** filter resets to **Active** when you reload the page or navigate away, and the archived view has no URL of its own, so you cannot bookmark or share a link to it.

## Restore it

Restoring is available to anyone who can edit the scenario, and to workspace admins for workspace scenarios. If you do not see a restore option, you do not have rights to restore that scenario.

**From the scenario list**

1. Filter **Status** to **Archived**
2. Click the **...** menu on the scenario's card and choose **Restore Scenario**

**From the scenario's page**

1. Open the deleted scenario
2. Click **Restore Scenario** on the archived overlay and confirm

The scenario returns to the active list immediately and can be practiced and assigned again.

<Warning>
  Restoring does not reverse everything deleting did. If the scenario was part of a program, deleting removed it from that program's components, and restoring does not add it back. Re-add it to the program yourself. See [Add Program Components](/programs/add-components).
