# Digest Emails

> How the Personal and Manager digest emails work, what is in each section, and how to change or turn off your cadence

Exec sends a recurring digest email summarizing activity in your workspace. There are two kinds, and which ones you receive depends on your role.

| Digest | Who receives it | What it covers |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Personal Digest** | Everyone | Your own activity in Exec |
| **Manager Digest** | Workspace admins and group admins | Workspace admins see all members' activity. Group admins see activity for the groups they manage. |

If you are an admin, you receive both, and the personal one is labeled **Personal Digest Email** to distinguish it.

<Info>
  A digest is only sent when there is something to report. If every section is empty for the period, no email goes out.

## What's in a Digest

A digest is built from up to three sections. Each one is dropped entirely when it has no activity for the period.

| Section          | Personal Digest        | Manager Digest           |
| ---------------- | ---------------------- | ------------------------ |
| **AI Roleplays** | Your roleplay practice | Team roleplay activity |
| **Assignments** | Your assignments | Team assignment activity |
| **Call Scoring** | Your scored calls | Team scored calls |

The Call Scoring section only appears if call scoring is enabled for your workspace.

### Team roleplay activity

The roleplay section of the Manager Digest opens with a row of four cards labeled **Unranked**, **Bronze**, **Silver**, and **Gold**, alongside the total number of sessions and the average score.

<Warning>
  These four numbers count **sessions, not people**. A card reading "Unranked 1" means one roleplay session in the period landed in that band. It does not mean one person. If the same person practiced four times, they contribute four sessions across those cards.

  To see how many distinct people practiced, use the **Total Participants** metric in [Roleplay Analytics](/skills/analyze-performance#roleplay-analytics-summary-metrics).
</Warning>

Below the cards:

* **Top sessions** - the three highest-scoring sessions in the period.
* **Coaching opportunities** - the three lowest-scoring sessions. This only appears once there are at least six sessions in the period, so that the top and bottom lists don't overlap.

Each entry links through to the full session, and **See all** opens Roleplay Analytics scoped to the people you manage.

## Cadence and Timing

Each digest can be set to weekly or daily, independently.

| Cadence | When it sends | What it covers |
| ---------- | --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Weekly** | Monday | The previous Monday through Sunday |
| **Daily** | Monday through Friday | The previous working day. Monday's send covers Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. |

<Note>
  If you belong to more than one workspace, each workspace has its own digest preferences and sends its own email.
